Family - Wife, Married Elda L. Getz on June 16, 1945 in Tremont. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Dr. William D. of Lincolnton, N.C., and Keith A. of Camby, hid.; one daughter, Mrs. David (Caiyl) Harrer of Lafayette, md.; and one brother, George Beutel of Tremont. Another son, Capt. Robert D., was listed as missing in action after his plane was shot down over Laos in 1971. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.



Donald served in the United States Army from August 1945 to August 1946. After the military, he was co-owner of a service station till he retired. ____________________________________

Donald R. Beutel, 75, of 309 S. Locust St. died at 10:3 1 am. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 1995, at his residence.

Born Sept. 16, 1919, in Tremont to William K. and Elizabeth Gerstner Beutel, he married Elda L. Getz on June 16, 1945 in Tremont. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Dr. William D. of Lincolnton, N.C., and Keith A. of Camby, hid.; one daughter, Mrs. David (Caiyl) Harrer of Lafayette, md.; and one brother, George Beutel of Tremont.

Another son, Capt. Robert D., was listed as missing in action after his plane was shot down over Laos in 1971.

He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

He farmed in the late 1930s and 1940s. He worked at Brunner Bros. in Tremont from 1948 to 1978 and was part owner of the company for 15 years.

He was a board member of Tremont Rescue Squad and a member of the Heart of Illinois MIAIPOW Association, Tremont Historical Society and Tremont Apostolic Christian Church.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Services will be at 10:3 0 a.m. Saturday at Tremont Apostolic Christian Church. Dwayne Stuber will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Davis Mortuary.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Tremont Rescue Squad or Tremont Apostolic Christian Church building fund.
