Mary H. Warren married Cornelius L. Hardenbergh on February 14, 1826 according to "New Jersey, Marriages, 1678-1985," index, Cornelius L. Hardenbergh and Mary H. Warren, 14 Feb 1826; citing Trenton Federalist, 20 Feb 1826, p 3, GS Film Number 542518.

Given the proximity of their interments in the cemetery churchyard at The First Reformed Church (Lot 207 in the case of Mary and Lot 209 in the Case of Cornelius), it is reasonable to believe that these two people were husband and wife.

According to the 1850 Federal Census, the Hardenbergh family was living in North Brunswick, Middlesex, New Jersey as follows: Cornelius Hardenberg, Counsellor at Law, age 60, Mary Hardenberg age 45, Rutson Hardenberg, farmer, age 26, Warren Hardenberg, Attorney at Law, age 23, Nancy Hardenberg age 20, Augustus Hardenberg age 19, and Cornelius Hardenberg age 16. Also residing in the household were Mary Galligan age 35, James O. Pixley age 17, and Mary Smith age 15.
