Charles H. Terrill, passed from this life at his home in Mineral Point on Thursday morning, July 29; aged 62 years. He ad been seriously ill for about three months and his death was not unexpected.
Charles H. Terrill was born in Mineral Point, November 7, 18587, the son of Mr and Mrs John Terrill. On June 12, 1884 he was united in marriage to Miss Edith Dobson and to this union a son and a daughter were born. Mr Terrill learned the trade of Marble cutter, and in partnership with the late Samuel Terrill was a monument dealer here for a number of yours. He was an upright citizen and a companionable man. He served as alderman, deputy sheriff and in other positions of public trust and always faithfully performed his duties. He was an honored member of Mineral Point Lodge F. and A. M. and of Iowa Chapter Royal Arch Masons. He leaves to mourn his death his wife, son Clyde and daughter Gerleen (now Mrs. A.V. Shipman), and one sister Mrs. James B. Prideaux.
The funeral took place Saturday afternoon under Masonic auspices, with services at the t=home conducted by Rev John Birrell. The burial was in Graceland.
