Aged 29, died of scarlet fever, with his son William Temple Todd, aged 3 months. His parents, John Todd, Sr. and Mary (Duborow) Todd, also died of scarlet fever.
Married January 1790 to Dolley Payne, who survived him and last married James Madison of Virginia.
John Payne Todd, son of John Todd, Jr., and Dolley Payne, also survived.
Note: According to inmand15 #47113419 , they both died of yellow fever.

Thos Wright of Wilkesbarre called; he informed us of the deaths of Campbell Dick and John Todd [aged about 27]. Mierken, sugar baker, dead. Among a list of burials in Friends' ground, in which were a large number that we have not heard of before, were John Guest Sr, James Goram, Grace Estaugh, Sun Kribner, Margt Langdale and Lydia West.
