My great grandmother on mother's side, Mary Pawlowski was born in Sehlen, (Zalno), German Empire on January 3, 1883. Her parents were Theophilus Pawlowski, and Julianna Fordonski. She had a daughter Lillian and Lillian's father is unknown.

She married John Joseph Ringwelski in 1905 and they had eight children together. Mary, John and Lillian came to Milwaukee from Sehlen Poland in 1906 on the SS Batavia. They lived at 3030 N. Buffum Street. Mary raised her family and lived there for the rest of her life. She died on February 7, 1947 at the age of 64 and was interred at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
