Robert Sharpe Obituary

SHARPE Robert "Bob" Edwin Robert "Bob" Edwin Sharpe, age 87, passed away early Sunday morning, November 3, 2013, at The Elizabeth Scott Community. He was born in Liberty Center, OH on April 11, 1926, to Dorsey Oliver and Carrie Catherine (Carver) Sharpe. After graduating from Liberty Center High School, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country from 1944-1946. He received an honorable discharge as a WWII 1946 veteran. Prior to his retirement, he worked for 37 years at Dinner Bell Foods. Bob was an avid Ohio State football fan and Cleveland Browns fan. Everyone enjoyed his sense of humor and wittiness. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the Wauseon VFW and the Robinson - Gibbs American Legion Post. Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Geneva Rose Sharpe. He is survived by his children, Beverly Sharpe, Connie Rush, and James (Deborah) Sharpe; grandchildren, Kristina (Kenneth) Pringle, Kurt (Rachel) Sharpe, and Klint Sharpe, and great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jarrett, Piper, and McKenzy. Friends may call at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon on Thursday, November 7, 2013, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Private funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Ruth Ann Scoby officiating. Interment will follow at Wauseon Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Elizabeth Scott Community, 2720 Albon Rd. Maumee, OH 43537 or Paws and Whiskers, 32 Hillwyck Drive, Toledo, OH 43614.
