Daughter of Jonathan and Hannah (Trowbridge) Whitcomb. She was the first wife of Amasa Clark, whom she married on October 24, 1813 in Dummerston, Vermont. Arathusa died only seven years later, at the young age of 26 years. Her husband, Amasa, survived her until his death in 1866.
