Victor F. Grimm, age 89, of Reedsville, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at his residence with his family by his side.
Vic was born on November 23, 1923 in Reedsville, son of the late Reinhardt and Ella (Pautz) Grimm. He was a graduate of Reedsville High School, class of 1941. On June 4, 1946, he married Verona Krueger at St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. Vic was a man of many trades. He farmed, drove gravel truck, and hauled milk for many years. He was always there to lend a helping hand, whether it was to fix something, or if it couldn't be fixed, make a new part so that it did work. Vic was an avid hunter, enjoyed the hobby farm and was a nature lover. Vic also loved to play the harmonica and was known to always have one around. His love of polka music caused him to meet his love at a polka dance. They enjoyed dancing and listening to the music that brought them together. He especially enjoyed spending time with his wife Verona and their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-granddaughter.
Vic is survived by his wife of 67 years, Verona of Reedsville; five children: Judy Long of Perrysburg, OH, Jan Anhalt of Reedsville, Victor (Mary) Grimm, Jr. of Reedsville, Barb (Al) Leist of Manitowoc, and Shirley (Darryl) Parkin of Forest Junction; grandchildren: Tiffany (Joe) Anzalone, TX, Tom Sandlin, TX, Jim Sandlin, MI, Micki (Jeremy) Foytik, Reedsville, Craig (Lindsay) Anhalt, Reedsville, Naomi (friend Clark Huskey) Grimm, Reedsville, Victor (Autumn) Grimm, III, Combined Locks, Chad (Amanda) Leist, Two Rivers, Derek (Josie) Leist, Whitelaw, Shannon (Justin) Langbecker, Dylan (friend Camille Bruggen) Steinbach; great-grandchildren: Ashley, Courtney and Jordan Anzalone, Jake Sandlin, Dominic Sandlin, Tyler and Brielle Foytik, Madalyn Denor and Cash Anhalt, Mark, Trinity and Willow, Jaden and Jenika Grimm and William Leist; and one great-great-granddaughter: Natalie Benjamin; siblings: Reinhardt (Joan) of Reedsville, Fern Wolf of Green Bay, Doris Polzin of Manitowoc, Ronald (Lynn) of Branch, Karen (friend Dennis) Blish of Manitowoc; three sisters-in-law: Helen Grimm of Reedsville, Alice Haese of Reedsville, and Rosie Olp of Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
