Sheboygan Press, November 12, 1954, Sheboygan, WI- Robert Scheffler, Sr.
Robert Scheffler, Sr., 75, of Manitowoc, Rt. 3, died early today at Holy Family Hospital, in Manitowoc after a short illness.
A son of the late John and Sophia Kono Scheffler. Mr.
Scheffler was born March 10,1879, at Centerville. He worked
as a railroad man for a number of years and after his marriage to Meta Grosshuesch, of Newton, on April 4, 1908, settled on a farm near Newton.
On 1929 the family moved to Manitowoc where Mr. Scheffler
worked as a carpenter, and in 1934 Mr. Scheffler retired and
returned to his farm near Newton.
He leaves his wife; one daughter Mrs. Walter Hoyer, of Manitowoc: two sons, Clarence, of Newton, and Robert. Jr of Atlanta. Ga.; one brother, William of Hika; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Newton Reformed Church at 2 p. m. Sunday, Dr. K. J.Stuebbe officiating, and burial
will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at thc Urbanek and Schlei Funeral home
at Manitowoc from Saturday noon until 11:30 a. m. Sunday
and may view the body at the church from noon until the time
of services.
