Opal M. Macdonald, 83, of Romeo, died Wednesday, July 29, 1998, at her home.
She was born July 13, 1915, in O'Neil, Neb., the daughter of Samuel and Olive ( Beal ) Yenglin.
Mrs. MacDonald had been employed at Rochester Gear and Verrellen Orchards.
She is survived by three sons, Alvin Abbott of Pigeon, Lyle Abbott of Mesa, Ariz. and John Abbott of Romeo; a daughter Betty Stevens of Flint; a brother Merle Yenglin of St. Helen; 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Abbott in 1943 and John Macdonald in 1993.
Services were held Saturday, Aug. 1, at Roth-Muir Funeral Home, Romeo. The Rev. David Winningham officiated. Burial was in Bruce-Armada Cemetery
Opal was married to James Abbott on 4 May 1935 in Boyd County, Nebraska.
