Mrs. Wilhelmina Krekel, 83, of 631 Dunham, died Sunday after an extended illness. She was born In Munhelm, Germany, September 8, 1871, and came to the U.S. and Burlington 77 years ago. She married Louis Krekel in 1893 and was a member of the Lutheran faith.
Surviving are four sons, Edward, Albert and Walter, all of Burlington, and Charles of Chicago; four daughters, Mrs. Bertha Wendlandt, Edith and Iola Krekel and Mrs. Mae Smith, all of Burlington; two stepsons, August Krekel of Burlington, and Fred Krekel of Decatur, Illinois; a brother, Christian J. Glaser of Decorah, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Prugh's chapel. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
