Almira Lacey WOODHULL, daughter of Benjamin WOODHULL and Sarah STAGER, was born in January 1822 in Ontario (after 1823, Yates) Co., NY. Before 1843 Almira married Ellison NORCOTT in Yates Co., NY. In 1844 Ellison, Almira and their son Frederick moved to Seneca, Seneca Co., NY where Ellison was a tinsmith. It was here that their children Mary, Charles and Sarah were born. In 1850 Ellison, Almira and their family moved to Canton, Fulton Co., IL where their sons John and William were born. On June 4, 1860 Almira died in Canton where she was buried in Greenwood Cemetery. On July 2, 1910 Ellison NORCOTT died of heart disease in Chicago, Cook Co., IL. His remains were returned to Canton, IL where on July 4th he was buried with his wife Almira at Greenwood Cemetery.
