Eugene W. Reed, 67, 2450 Eastern Ave., died at 11:55 p.m. Sunday at Aultman Hospital in Canton following an extended illness.
Mr. Reed was born April 19, 1925, in Alliance, to David and Lillian Reed and lived here all of his life. He retired in 1976 from Morgan Engineering Co.
Mr. Reed was a member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church, and a charter member and officer of Morgan Retirees. In 1986 he received the Alliance Senior Citizen of the Year Award.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia R. (Aebi); a daughter, Karen Ann Reed of Shaker Heights; a sister, Ruth Ann Bohlen of Cocoa, Fla.; a brother, David W. Jr. of Alliance; and nieces and nephews. Mr. Reed was preceded in death by a brother, Robert.
