To my dt., Mrs. Thomas L. Handy, the following articles....
To my grand daughter, Dorothy Handy, one ring.
To my dt., Elizabeth Gaylord, of Pasadena California....
To my dt. Ella Merritt of Pasadena California....
To my Grand son, Emery George Kolb, the infant son of my dt. Diana (Emery) Kolb, $5.00.
I own several shares and have a large interest in mineral lands in Minnesota, if the said lands when developed, should prove to be of value, I hereby direct my executor, pay from the income from mineral lands, or from the proceeds of the sale thereof, to my brothers, shall not exceed half the value of said mineral lands or the proceeds of the sale thereof to my brothers Benjamin Anderson of Everett Washington and Fred S. Anderson of Snohomish, Washington each $50 per month per their natural life, provided said payment shall not exceed half the value of said mineral lands.
I hereby give and bequeath the rest of my estate to my three daughters, Mrs. Thomas L. Handy, Elizabeth Gaylord, & Ella Merritt, share & share alike.
I nominate Robert H Gaylord of Pasadena California to be executor.

Her father founded the Detroit, Bay City and Western Railroad in Michigan.
The Detroit, Bay City and Western Railroad started operations in 1907 and stopped service in 1925 (18 years).
Later the Detroit, Caro & Sandusky Railway was created through the demise of the Detroit, Bay City & Western Railroad whose assets and property were sold by its Receiver in Bankruptcy at the Federal Court of Bay City, Michigan in April of 1925.
