Walter A. Steinhaus, 55, of 1224 Georgia Ave. died Thursday
morning at his home following a brief illness.
A native of Sheboygan, he was born Jan. 17, 1905, a son of Karl and Anna Steinhaus, attended Bethlehem Lutheran School and was confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Later he attended Sheboygan Business College.
On June 7, 1930, he married Miss Dorothea Fritz. The couple
had lived at the Georgia Avenue address since their marriage.
He was employed at Knaak Motors for 20 years, then operated
the Anger-Steinhaus Service Station for four years, and worked at Kohler Co. for three years until retiring in 1954 because of ill health.
Survivors are his wife; a son, Wayne at home, one daughter,
Mrs. Jack (Marlene) Loesing, and a brother, Paul, all of Sheboygan. His parents, two brothers, a sister and a daughter preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday at the Ramm Funeral Home. The Rev. F. A. Brauer pastoral, assistant at Bethlehem Lutheran Church where Mr. Steinhaus was a member, will officiate and burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2pm Sunday.
