Henry Van Allen, 87, of Hissem Road, Cadiz, formerly of Bloomingdale, died May 14, 1985, in Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz.
He was born Jan. 30, 1898, in Fort Wayne, Ind., a son of William and Barbara Ketcher Van Allen.
He was owner and operator of Van Allen Ornamental Iron Works, Bloomingdale. and an employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., Follansbee Plant, for 40 years until his retirement. He was a member of the United Pentacostal Church.
Surviving are a son, Tom of Cleveland; a grandson; four great-grandchildren; and a niece, Mrs. Alfred (Martha) Banta of Cadiz, with whom he resided.
