ALLENTOWN – Betty Ann Alley Goble, 101, of Brookdale Dr., passed away Friday at her residence.
Services will be held Wednesday December 4, 2013 at 11:00AM in the Allentown United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Allentown City Cemetery. Rev. Billy Wicker and Rev. Jeff Alligood will officiate.
Mrs. Goble was born in Bogue Chitto, Alabama, the daughter of the late William W. and Elizabeth Ann Ridley Alley. She was the widow of the late Shelton Earl Goble, and was preceded in death by her Daughter Elizabeth Ann Goble Seegal, her Granddaughter Laura (Andi) Cooper Rowell, and her Grandson John S. (Josh) Cooper. Miss Betty received her Masters Degree from the Georgia Teachers College and was a Teacher for forty four years in Georgia, New York and New Jersey. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Org., the Montrose Senior Ladies, the Allentown United Methodist Women and the Agape Stitchers of Allentown. Mrs. Goble was a member of the Allentown United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 Wednesday before the service in the Allentown United Methodist Church.
