She was born July 7, 1930, in West Lebanon, the daughter of the late Emmet and Golda (Pearson) Bonebrake. She was a 1948 graduate of West Lebanon High School were she was a cheerleader and was a Sunday school and Bible School teacher at the West Lebanon Federated Church. Betty has lived in Anderson since 1967, she was a member of the Lady's Lion Club and Madison Heights Booster Club.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jay Berkshire; one daughter, Gina Berkshire both of Anderson; a brother and sister, Emmet E. Bonebrake of Crawfordsville and Mary V. Cockey of Anderson; three nephews and family, Bill, Kelly and Kyle Bonebrake, Greg Bonebrake, Brian, Lara, Danielle and Stacia Bonebrake.
The family would like to thank Community Hospital Cancer Center and staff and Dr. Kelly Chambers and staff for all their care and concerns.
Betty was preceded in death by her brother, William Bonebrake and a sister-in-law, Peggy Bonebrake.
