John W. Sutton, the son of Chester R. and Emma Jensen Sutton, was buried at the Blair Cemetery Saturday, June 16. He was 81.
Sutton, a state highway engineer, operated the Blair Redi-Mix for 15 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes West.
Survivors include sister Mrs. Elsie Lundt; son, Steve Sutton and grandchildren Tyler, Mark, and Suzanne Brammeier, all of Lincoln.
Sutton died Thursday, June 7, at the Madonna Care Center in Lincoln.
Pallbearers for Saturday’s service at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Blair were Mark Sutton, John Sutton, Chester Sutton, Hugh Hunt, Richard Hunt and Warren West.
Father Jess Hansen delivered the eulogy.
