Willard J. Rohr, 57, of 1724 Vermont ave SE was pronounced dead soon after arrival Friday at 9:10 a.m. in the emergency room of Massillon city hospital after he collapsed in his residence during a coughing spell.
Dr. G. S. Shaheen, Stark county coronor, ruled his death was from an accute coronary occlusion.
Mr. Rohr was born in Massillon and resided here all his life. He was an inspector at the Republic Steel Corp. and was a 30-year employe. He was an Army veteran of the Pacific war zone during World War II and was a member of the local Post 3124, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Eagles Lodge 190 of Massillon and St. Mary's Catholic church.
