James Jimmy Edwards III, 28, of Marks died of mylofibrosis with complications of pneumonia Sunday, August 8, 1999, in San Antonio, TX.
Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 14, at Valley Queen M. B. Church with the Rev. Carl D. Brown officiating. Burial followed at Belmont Cemetery. Delta Burial Corporation of Marks had charge.
Mr. Edwards, a recruiter and staff sergeant in the U. S. Army, was born on November 20, 1970 in Batesville. He earned numerous awards while in the Army. He was a member of Valley Queen M. B. Church and was a graduate of Quitman County High School.
The United States Armed Forces Color Guard will serve as his pallbearers.
Survivors include his parents, Jimmy and Mandy Edwards of Marks; two sisters, Cynthia M. Rucker of Memphis and Sherril M. Edwards of Marks; three brothers, Bryant S. Edwards of Nashville, Johnathan J. Edwards of Memphis, and Joshua Edwards of Marks; his grandparents, Jim and Mildred Edwards and Onie Lee Williams, all of Marks.
