Services for Vernon Elroy Sanford, 87, a photographer from Willoughby Hills, will be 10 a,m., Thursday at Willoughby Hills United Methodist Church, 34202 Eddy Road.

Mr. Sanford died Sept. 4 at home.

Born June 24, 1907 in Cleveland, he was a resident of Willoughby Hills and a former resident of Cleveland.

He was the former president of the Cleveland Society of Professional Photographers, a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants, John Alden Kindred Society of America, Western Reserve Society, Sons of the American Revolution, Founders and Patriots, Western Reserve Historical Society, Geauga County Genealogical Society and the Kiwanis Club of South East Cleveland.

He was a self-employed professional photographer for 63 years.

Survivors are his wife, Gertrude E. (Miller); daughters, Beth Wieland of Russell Township, Martha Pavlik of Hambden Township and Barbara Sanders of Savannah, Ga.; sons, Calvin of Abilene, Texas, and Roger of Twinsburg; brother, Warren and sister, Ruth Sterns.

His parents, John and Emma are deceased.
