Ruth Maxine Hannah, 91, Oskaloosa, died Sunday, December 8, 2013 at the F.W. Huston Senior Living Center in Winchester. She was born April 30, 1922 at Oskaloosa, the daughter of Frank Stone and Ella Julia Carlson Lobb. She was a 1940 graduate of Oskaloosa High School and had many jobs through her life. She retired after 22 years of Secretarial Service to The Oskaloosa School District #341. She also worked at the Jefferson County Register of Deeds office. She was a member of the Oskaloosa United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Mary and Marthas of the Church. She was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #62 and the American Legion Aux. # 36, both in Oskaloosa. She was very active in the Meals on Wheels Program and the Oskaloosa Alumni Association. As a member of Oskaloosa Christian Service Organization, Mrs. Hannah was the founder of the Next To New Thrift Store in Oskaloosa. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Melvin Roach in 1943. She was married to William Thomas "Bill" Hannah, Sr. on April 16, 1948 at Oskaloosa, he preceded her in death on August 11, 2003. She is survived by one son, William T. "Bill" (Kathy) Hannah, II, Noblesville, IL., one daughter, Rebecca "Becky" (Allen) Wise, Oskaloosa, five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters. A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be at 12:30 PM, Thursday at the Oskaloosa United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends and family from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Church. Inurnment will be at a later date at Pleasant View Cemetery, Oskaloosa. Memorials are suggested to Jefferson County Friends of Hospice, The Oskaloosa Alumni Association or to the Oskaloosa United Methodist Church in care of Barnett Family Funeral Home, P.O.
