Irma Lee Cole Phillips, age 86, of Mableton, GA, passed away December 14, 2013. She was born January 9, 1927, in Dallas, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Curtis Phillips; her son Charles Phillips; parents Bob and Rosie Cole; and brothers Louis, Barney, Waticell and Glen Cole.

She was a member of Mount Harmony Baptist Church. Her love for children made her a great kindergarten teacher and child care provider at Terry Lynn Kindergarten and Grace Day Care of Mableton. Her most joy was being able to provide her favorite dishes during the cookouts at the lake and making sure that everyone was welcome. Irma and Curtis also enjoyed their fishing trips to Clark Hill.

She is survived by her daughter Joyce Kirk of Kennesaw, GA; her son and daughter-in-law Lamar and Monica Phillips of Hiram, GA; grandchildren Mike and Karen Phillips of Nauvoo, AL, Frances and Dave Wiggins of Acworth, GA, Jason and Mandy Phillips of Kennesaw, GA, and Amanda and Greg Cobb of Dallas, GA; great-grandchildren Ethan and Seth Phillips, Danielle, Delaney and Lindsey Wiggins, Brennon and Harry Phillips, and Will, Mason and Chase Cobb; many loving nieces and nephews. A special thanks to her caregivers of two years Susan Hylton of Kennesaw and Paula Stillwell of Heritage Hospice, and Pam Treese of Chaplin at Heritage Hospice.

Funeral services were held at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Doug Couch and Chaplin Pam Treese officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens. Jason Phillips, Gregg Cobb, Dave Wiggins, Adam Cole, Mike Cole, and Jeff Pettus served as pallbearers.
