Son of George Meacham and Agnes Reed...On Oct 13th 1917 Lawrence left for Camp Lee Va.. He was shipped to Europe as a member of the Company E. 12oth Infantry... He was wounded on October 11th 1918 while fighting in the Argonne.. He died 3 days later.. Body was shipped home and a memorial service was held in the local church and he was then buried in Sartwell Creek Cemetery
