Elijah Lemuel Law, Jr age 84 of Nashville - July 8, 2008. Preceded in death by parents, Elijah and Minnie Law his wife of 52 years. Sister Jean Law & brothers Kirk, Bill, Henry, Ben, J.B. and Robert Law and sister Mary Ella Taylor.
Beloved Husband & Father
He is survived by three daughters, Sandra (John), Deborah (Richard) and Kristie (Mike).
4 grandchildren, Kimberly, Rachel, Emily and Erin. 4 great-grandchildren, Julianne, Gabrielle , Luke and Brayden.
Mr. Law served in the Army. He volunteered for a Parachute Unit after basic training. He then joined the 1st Special Service Force. He was trained in hand to hand combat, mountain climbing and much more.
Special thanks to the nurses at the VA in Murfreesboro for their kindness to him. He was a member of Inglewood Baptist Church for over 60 years. Family and friends will serve as Active Pallbearers. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 12th at 1 p.m., from the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home, with Dr. Kevin Shrum officiating. Visitation Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.

In July 2013, the Congressional Gold Medal was awarded, collectively, to the First Special Service Force, in recognition of its superior service during World War II.
