Professional Football Player. Born in Burlington, Iowa, was a running back, making his National Football league debut for the New Orleans Saints in 1968 and also appeared in the Pro Bowl in his rookie season. For seven seasons, he played for the New Orleans Saints 1968 to 1971, Philadelphia Eagles 1972, Los Angeles Rams 1973 to 1974 and San Diego Chargers in 1975. He ended his career appearing in 86 games, with 82 receptions, 2087 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns. Baker was killed at age 53 in a car accident on US Route 61, Iowa.
