Delores Ann Simmons Johnson, 74 of Crystal Springs, MS, died Monday, December 16, 2013 at her residence in Crystal Springs, MS. Funeral services will be held at 10 am, on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Springs of Praise World Outreach Center in Crystal Springs, MS. Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home of Monticello, MS is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 5 - 7 pm at Springs of Praise World Outreach Center .
Mrs. Johnson was active in her church, Springs of Praise, as a Sunday School Teacher and worked beside her husband for many years in Children's Church. She also enjoyed singing in the church choir and doing many activities with the church. She was a wonderful and loving wife of 49 years to Charles. Her life has touched many children over the years and will be remembered for her compassionate heart and sweet spirit, not to forget how much she loved her children and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by: Parents: Steve Hunt and Jan Hoover Hunt, Brother: Carl Simmons. Survivors include: Husband: Charles Johnson, Crystal Springs, MS; Daughters: Tamara Sykes, Jackson, MS; Shawn Balmer, Crystal Springs, MS; Son: Chad Johnson, Flippin, AR; Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; 4 Brothers: Glen Simmons, Crystal Springs, MS, Gary Simmons, Allan, TX; Sister: Wilma Simmons, Ada, OK.
