FUNERAL SERVICES FOR SCHOOL HEAD TO BE HELD AT WILLIAMSTOWN AND PARKERSBURG


Funeral services for D. C. ( Daniel Clingensmith ) Tabler, 67, superintendant of the Williamstown schools, who was killed in a traffic accident Sunday, will be held at the home here at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.

The body will then be taken to Parkersburg, where additional services will be held at St. Andrews Church at 3:15 o'clock. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetry, with members of the Masonic Blue Lodge of Parkersburg conducting the ritual at the grave.

Officiating clergyman at the services will be the Rev. William Knox of Williamstown, the Rev. Wells of Parkersburg and the Rev. Harry Howard of Mannington.

Ray Tabler of Centerville Md., son of Mr. Tabler is expected to arrive here early today for the services. Mrs Isabel Rymer of Mannington, a daughter, and Robert Tabler of Barberton, Ohio, a son, arrived here Sunday and Monday, Robert Tabler was accompanied by his wife. His mother-in-law and brother-in-law, Mrs Lerch and Emmett Lerch, both of Bucyrus, Ohio, are also here.

COMMUNITY SHOCKED

This entire community was shocked by the tragic accident Sunday morning in which Mr. Tabler was instantly killed and Mrs Tabler recieved critical injuries. Coming here last fall as head of the Williamstown Schools following a long record in educational circles of the state, a marked improvement in discopline was immediately noted by competent observers and during the year a number of innovations was made.
He had been employed as head of the schools here for the coming year.

Mr. Tabler was formerly superintendant of the Parkersburg Schools and later was superintendant of the Mannington Schools for 14 years. He was a member of the First Methodist Church here and was a teacher of the men's bible class in the Sunday school.

He was a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge, of Parkersburg and a member of Parkersburg Commander of Knights Templar, and was a Shriner.
