"Mrs. Morgan R. Stocker died at her home on Eagle street in this village at two o'clock Friday afternoon, April 7. She was 67 years old. The cause of her death was acute Bright's disease. Elizabeth Story was born in Cherry Valley, being a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Story. She married Mr. Stocker in 1863 and removed to Cooperstown in 1876. Mrs. Stocker's death will be sincerely mourned by a large circle of friends in this and neighboring towns. To the bereaved husband, deprived in his old age of a faithful helpmate, and to other relatives, the community extend deep sympathy. Mrs. Stocker is survived by two children. Mrs. Claudine S. Johnston and Eugene D. Stocker both of Cooperstown; by three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Claudine and Morgan Johnston and by a sister, Mrs. A. B. Price of New York. The funeral was held on Tuesday at two o'clock, the services being in charge of the Rev. S. S. Conger.
