Walsh, Edward Joseph 92, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at home. Loving husband of Mary Elinor Walsh (nee Geisler); father of Joe (Kay) Walsh and Kay Walsh Duchek; dearest grandfather of Chas Duchek, Matt Duchek, Erin (Tim) Meana, Carrie (Mark) Claiborne, and Mike Walsh; dear brother of Julia Beck and Helen Cole and the late Nonie (Doug) Mareschal, the late Alice (Mickey) Noce and the late Fr. David Walsh, CSSR; dear uncle, cousin and friend. Ed retired from Nooter Corporation where he worked for 45 years. He was a scoutmaster, baseball coach, a member of the Merry Mixers Square Dance Club and a devout member of St. Clement Parish. His lust for life, his generosity and his integrity made him beloved by family and friends. An avid golfer, he learned the game while caddying at the old Bellerive, and enjoyed many exciting rounds at St. Albans, making many friends along the way. Ed had the gift of Irish wit and with a twinkle in his big blue eyes, he could tell a great story or a joke to delight the crowd. He never ceased relating the wonderful feats of his wife, his children and his grandchildren. We will miss him.Services:Funeral Friday 9:30 a.m. from BOPP CHAPEL to St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church for 10am Mass; Interment Calvary Cemetery; Donations to Annie's Hope-The Bereavement Center for Kids (1333 W. Lockwood, Ste. 104, St. Louis, MO 63122) or to the charity of your choice appreciated. Visitation Thursday 4-8 p.m. at BOPP CHAPEL.
