He grew up in Abilene where he attended local schools. He had been employed by Smoky Hill Construction in Salina, Russell Stover Candies and Alco in Abilene.
Mickey was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Carolyn DeuPree. Survivors included his mother, Theresa Begley; father Michael Lobdell; sisters, Cassie Lobdell, Victoria Lobdell, Nicole Lobdell, Sarah Lobdell, Maggie Lobdell and Amanda Mears.
Cremation was chosen with no inurnment.
