Clinton L. Curry, 49 of 79 Walnut St. an employee of the Portland Terminal co., died Tuesday in a local hospital as the result of head injuries he received Saturday when he fell into a hopper car a Rigby Yards.
James A. Allen, a co-worker at the yards heating plant said he an Curry were cleaning the car when the victim lost his footing on the slanted surface of the car's interior.
Mr. Curry was born in Portland Sept. 24, 1910, the son of Leroy and Martha Bethwith Curry. He attended local schools, was a veteran of World War II, and went to work for the Portland Terminal Co. in 1954.
He is survived by his widow, the former Hazel Mayhew; three daughters, Mrs. Martha Shepard, Mrs. Janet Boucher, both of Portland, and Mrs. Joan Doughty , Falmouth a sister Mrs. Ralph Doyle, Alaska; four half-brother Clyde M., Portland; Leroy, Westbrook, and Donald A. Portland and Phillip p., South Portland; a half-sister, Miss Virginia F. Curry, Portland and 14 Grandchildren.
