Marie was the daughter of August Kamber and Mary Helen "Marie" O'Meara Kamber. In 1937, she married William "Bill" Robards in Louisville, Ky., and they had one son, William Thomas RoBards.
In 1947 she married her second husband, John M. "Mike" Renn, and they had two daughters, Marianne Renn Leach and Jane Marie Renn Rosenbarger. Marie retired from the U.S. Census Bureau in Jeffersonville, Indiana in 1982.
She moved to Brookville, Ohio in 1998 to live near her daughter, Jane, and then to Tecumseh, Michigan, in 2002 to live with Jane and her husband, Donald.
