John William Parker, 85, of Burlington died at 4:29 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2014, at his home.
Born November 10, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of Dale Hamilton and Inez Lucille Dunlap Parker. On July 4, 1953 he married Bonnie Joyce Riess in North English.
Mr. Parker was a 1946 graduate of Burlington High School and graduated from Coe College in 1961. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and he worked as an accountant. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, camping and traveling. He had a special interest in science and history.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.
