Educator. Former chairman of the Department of History at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated in 1929 from Clark University (Mass.) and 1947 from the University of Chicago, 1947. It is noted that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was one of his pupils. Dr. Kennedy was married to the former Lyda McCree, who preceded him in death and the father of two sons.
