Doc Erwine. He was the brother of Daniel Arwine, brother-in-law of Julia (Ann) Barrow Arwine. He attended the Medical College Of Indiana in Indianapolis, and graduated with a license in 1880 as an Allopath. Practiced in Bean Blossom, Jackson Twp., Brown Co., Indiana, and in 1889 was granted a California license and practiced in Dove, California. He is listed in the Directory Of Deceased American Physicians, 1804 - 1929. He is listed in the 1868 issue of the directory for Georgetown, Brown County, Indiana, as a physician and postmaster. In 1879, was one of the organizers of the first Brown County Medical Society.
