Actor. A recognizable and versatile character performer, he totaled roughly one-hundred TV credits during a more than forty-year career. After appearing in local stage productions, he experienced his break in the industry with a role in a 1949 episode of the TV series "Mama." This was followed by recurring parts in the Jackie Gleason program "The Cavalcade of Stars." Marth went on to appear in such series as "Perry Mason," "The Big Valley," "Hogan's Heroes" and "Barnaby Jones" to name a few. Marth, who suffered from Alzheimer's disease, died from heart failure.
