Obituary:

Jean Jackson Mollohan, 94, of Hilton Head Island died Wednesday, May 17, at the Sterling House of Hilton Head Island.

She was born July 30, 1905, in Washington, the daughter of the late Thomas Searing Jackson and Jeanette Elizabeth Hutchins. She moved to Hilton Head from Lansing, Michigan in January 1999.

Jean was a school teacher in Washington, a founding member of Kappa Kappa Gamma of George Washington University and a member of Lansing Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution. She served as area coordinator for the first March of Dimes campaign and was a longtime Red Cross Volunteer in Washington.

Surviving are a daughter, Jean Mollohan Stubbs; a granddaughter, Debra Stubbs Sandercock; grandson James Michael Stubbs; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edison William Mollohan Jr., and two brothers, Thomas Searing Jackson and Robert Austin Jackson.

Memorial services will be announced later at St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
