Mrs. Mary Jane Clark Berkimer, aged 78, widow of M. A. Berkimer, former funeral director of Butler, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. E. Guiney of New Kensington, at 11:15 o'clock Thursday night, following a short illness.
Mrs. Berkimer was born in Prospect, the daughter of the late Rev. James Scott Clark and Margaret Scott Clark and had been a resident of Butler for 50 years before leaving for New Kensington in 1938. She was a member of the Second Prebyterian church.
She leaves three daughters, Mrs. J. E. Brown of Pittsburgh, Miss Janice M. Berkimer of Sewickley, and Mrs. E. E. Guiney of New Kensington; a son, Marshall A. Berkimer of New Kensington; a brother, Dr. J. E. Clark of New Wilmington; a sister, Mrs. Ida Weber of Zelienople, and five grandchildren.
