Fisher, Mary-Bruce (Wilson) passed away peacefully September 27, 2013 at The Lake which was her wish. Known as "Nana" by all, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Dr. JB and Natalie (Cox) Wilson. She attended school in Truro. She worked at the Colchester Regional Library for 34 years as a library assistant in the children's department. After her retirement she continued to share her love of books and reading with the many children who attended Brookfield Preschool. Throughout her life she was involved as a Councillor at MREC junior camps, Camp Wegesegum. Also a member of Beta Sigma Phi of Truro and attended Knox United Church in Brookfield where she was involved with the children's activities for the church and the community. She loved to cook and bake for everyone, which this love she has passed on to her granddaughters. She is survived by sons, Jamie, PJ (Tracey), Shortts Lake and daughter, Katey (Paul) Chisholm, Shortts Lake; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Decker (Mark), Upper Stewiacke; granddaughters, Samantha, Natalie, Courtney, Hayley, Maggie and Chole; sisters, Jan Storr, Heather Jamieson, both of Shortts Lake; sister-in-law, Sharon Keizer, Sackville; nieces, Ellen O'Brien (Keith), Sackville, Anita Fenn (Peter), New Brunswick and Robin Storr-Paluch (Mariusz), Truro; nephews, Eric Storr (Lori), Truro and Ian Jamieson (Erin), Brookfield; several grandnieces, grandnephews and close friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, David A. Fisher; David's parents, Cal and Ada Fisher; brother-in-law Don Keizer. Mary-Bruce would like to say a special Thank-You to "The Gang", Sue Gibbons and the teams from Palliative Care, VON, Home Care and all who came to visit her. No visitation by request. Cremation has taken place. Family flowers only. In her memory donations can be made to the VON, Canadian Red Cross or Terry Fox Foundation. A Celebration of her life to be held at Knox United Church, Brookfield, Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 2 pm with reception in the church hall following the service.
