Phyllis I. Secord, 70, died at his home. She was born to Walter B. and Esther F. Echternach. She graduated Hastings High School in 1961 and worked for years for the telephone company in Hastings, J.C. Penney in Brighton, Ft. Lupton Schools and Aims Community College in Ft. Lupton. She married Dean Secord of Ft. Lupton on June 27, 1965.

Phyllis was survived by her siblings, Shirley Lee, Dorothy Larabee, Darlene (Hubert) Payne, Leroy (Carol) Echternach, and Ellen (Gayle) Consbruck, all of Hastings, Neb., Delores Swanigan, of Lincoln, Neb., Erma (Jim) Hoffman, of Ayr, Neb., and Dennis (Janet) Echternach, of Kenai, Alaska; her children, Patricia Carlson, of Fort Lupton, and Doug (Roni) Secord, of Greeley; and three grandchildren, Katheryn Carlson, Sydney Secord and Aubrey Secord. She was preceded by her parents Esther and Walter Echternach, and brother Harold Echternach.

Funeral services held at Brighton Seventh Day Adventist Church, Pastor Rex Bell officiating and directed by Erlinger Funeral Home in Ft. Lupton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
