Mattie (Wilson) Womack is the daughter of Margaret McMahn Wilson and Robert Wilson. She was born in Ireland and immigrated to America around 1880/1881. She married William R. Womack on 3 May 1907 in East Lake, Jefferson County, Alabama. (She actually died in Wyandotte, Wayne Co., Michigan.0 Together, they had two sons: Robert Lee Womack and William Robert Womack. According to the U.S.Census of 1900, she has a brother named Joseph Wilson. She also had a brother named Andrew Wilson with whom she was staying in his household in the 1900 United States Census in Philadelphis Pa.

Mrs. Mattie Womack, 80, former resident here, died Friday at Wyandotte, Mich. Funeral services will be announced through Woodlawn Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Womack is survived by a son, William Womack, of Gilbraltar, Mich; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Merritt, of Township, Mich, and a brother.
