Fern Denmark was born on October 5, 1939 in Gracemont, OK to Carl V. and Willa Mae (Ketner) Blythe. She died on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at her home in Lawton with her family at her side.

Fern was raised and attended school in Anadarko, OK, until the 10th grade when she moved with her family to Walters.

She married Mahlon Denmark, the love of her life, on April 5, 1957 in Walters a month before she graduated from high school. The young couple moved to Lawton where they were both employed by the civil service. Fern continued working on Post for over 35 years before retiring as a budget analyst for the General Staff.

She spent most of her life as an active member of the church, attending Cameron Church of God which her father founded and her husband pastored after her father's death. Fern participated in the State of Oklahoma Ladies Ministry with the church, and traveled with Mahlon on missions to India, Germany, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic. Both Fern and Mahlon have been active and devoted members of the Lighthouse Church of God for the past 6 years.

In her spare time, Fern earned an Associate's Degree in Business from Cameron, and a Doctorate in the art of loving, giving and forgiveness from the school of life. She was a loving and intelligent wife and mother who enjoyed reading the Bible and deserves the credit for bringing Mahlon to the Lord's service.

She loved the Holidays and spent much of the year shopping for everyone on her list, and never forgot to send a Thank you note to family or friends that did a favor for her, regardless of how small. Family, friends and church family will always remember this generous and giving lady who blessed each of them with love and honesty throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband of almost 57 years, Mahlon; a daughter, Cindy Watson and husband Patrick of Denton, TX; her mother, Willa Mae Blythe of Walters; 2 grandchildren, Ashlee Blythe Woods of Katy, TX and Travis Alan Woods of Red Feather Lake, CO; brothers, Ray Blythe and wife Rosie of Lawton and Carroll Blythe and wife Linda of Walters; a sister, Lisa Blythe of Walters, and numerous members of her church family and friends
