The body of Mrs. Blanche Dinkler, 75, was found in a concrete water tank at her farm home on Cisco Road at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday by her son, Virgil Dinkler, New Holland, who operates the farm.

Dr. Robert A. Heiny, who accompanied Deputy Sheriff Robert McArthur to the scene, said no marks of violence were found on the body and ruled her death an apparent suicide by drowning.

Mrs. Dinkler had lived alone since the death of her husband, Charles Dinkler, in 1935.

Deputy McArthur said the son told him he had been at the farm that morning and had left about 9 a.m. to go to Washington C.H. and when he returned he found his mother's body floating in the water tank near the house.

Mrs. Dinkler, the former Blanche Helsel, was a lifelong resident of Fayette County. Her family said she had been in failing health for six years and was despondent. Dr. Heiny said she had been under medical care for some time.

Mrs. Dinkler also is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Juanita Bailey, of Harington, ILL; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Ida Thacker of Chillicothe, and four brothers, James, John and Allen Helsel, all of New Holland, and Dan Helsel of Zanesville.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home, New Holland, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Jean Creamer, pastor of the Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Frankfort Cemetery.
