Philip H. Carlson, 63, born April 21, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY, went home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2001 in Everett.
Phil grew up in South Pasadena where he graduated from South Pasadena High School in 1956. After playing baseball at Orange Coast College, Phil went on to sign with the Cardinal Organization. He was a left-handed pitcher. He lived in Covina, CA for 18 years. He was very involved in his church. Phil was a member of the NHRA, and he owned and raced a dragster. He held several national records. Phil moved to Everett in 1990. He continued to pursue his love of sports by scouting and coaching various high school teams.
He is survived by his brother,(redacted) and wife (redacted) of Folsom, CA; daughters, (redacted) and husband (redacted) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, (redacted) and husband (redacted) of Lake Stevens, and (redacted) and husband (redacted) of Everett; and six grandchildren, (names redacted).
Memorial services will be held at Christ The King Lutheran Church, Snohomish on Friday, July 20, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. Because of his caring heart for others, donations may be made in his honor to World Vision or the ASPCA. Cremation arrangements by Bauer Funeral Chapel, Snohomish.
