Dorothy Reeves, 94, died Friday, January 24, 2014 in Dalhart, Texas
Rosary will be at 7:00 P.M. Sunday, January 26, 2014 and Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 P.M. on Monday January 27, 2014 at St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church, Dalhart, Texas
Dorothy was born in Red Wing, MN on September 17, 1919 to Fred F. and Mary Ellen Engler, and the family then moved to Froid, MT. Dorothy moved to Dalhart, TX with her brother Dan Engler in the early 1940's. She worked at the local drug store named Squires Drug Store. She married Roland Reeves in 1948 and they farmed in the Bunker Hill area. Dorothy was a member of St. Anthony's, also a member at the Bunker Hill Extension Homemaker. Dorothy enjoyed painting, crocheting and quilting, but her first love was spending time with family and friends; laughing, visiting and reminiscing.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and five brothers, and one son-in-law.
Survivors include her Daughters- Sharon Reeves Taylor of Dalhart, TX and Jonelle Reeves Lynn of Knoxville, TN. Grandchildren- Travis and Laura Taylor of Dalhart, TX, Lorena and Matt Seidenberger of Fredericksburg, TX, Rebecca and Billy Mebane of Snyder, TX, Jennifer and Robbie Cook of Knoxville, TN, and Christian Lynn of Knoxville, TN. Seven Great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
