Geraldine A. Stoehr Hutter, 91, resident of Martins Ferry, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2001 at the Bishop Joseph H. Hodges Continuous Care Center, Wheeling. She was born May 22, 1910 in Wheeling, the daughter of the late William and Gertrude Shaffer Stoehr.

She co-owned Hutter's Poultry and Delicatessen in Wheeling's Centre Market with her husband Mike for twenty five years. Popular homemade items included smoked sausage, chunky chicken salad, dutch cakes and nut rolls. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, a member of the Martins Ferry Lady Elks # 895, the Catholic Women's Club, and the Alliance of Transylvanian Saxons.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Michael T. Hutter, Jr., whom she was married to for fifty years; a brother, William H. Stoehr, and sister, Madelyn Burck.

Surviving are three daughters; Michelene Stewart and her husband Ron of Pt. Pleasant, N. J., Suzanne Armstrong and her husband Russell, and Lucinda Zeiher and her husband Rick of Martins Ferry, a sister, Doris G. Burke of Wheeling; grandchildren; Skye Gallagher, Stacy Woods, and Cory Armstrong, great grandchildren, Kevin Gallagher, Eric and Claire Woods.
