Long believed apocryphal by both researchers and actual relatives, Manfred was the firstborn son of Samuel and Minnie Marx, parents of the Marx Brothers. Since he went unmentioned for so long, even among family members, not much is known about his short life. Manfred was actually seven months old at death, the cause of which was attributed to asthenia and entero-colitis (a milder strain of influenza). He is buried next to his
