Leondes Ancar passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in Murfreesboro, TN with his granddaughter by his side. Preceded in death by his parents Louise and Lawrence Ancar, wife Evelyn Ancar, two children La-Von Murphy and Florenda Ancar, two sisters Ester Ancar and Annie Phillips, he is survived by a sister Nola Phillips, a niece Jackie Phillips, a nephew Teddy Phillips and another nephew Ivan Phillips, a granddaughter Jeanette Murphy and three great grandchildren Lindsey and Kimberly Beard and Austin Sonnier. He taught us so much and we enjoyed the time we were able to spend with him. He will continue to be with us in our hearts and minds. We love you brother, uncle, pawpaw and pappy.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St., New Orleans, LA on Thursday, January 30, 2014 between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM and will resume on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 8:30 AM with a religious service at 9:00 AM.
